My specs:
AMD Phenom X4 II
Nvidia GeForce GTX 550Ti
4GB RAM
Xubuntu 17.04
Infos:
These are 3 games running on Ubuntu with their respective performances.
In the top left or top right of the game you can see the frames-per-second.
The general performance of the game is shown on the bottom right or bottom left of the video.
I compared what should be my performances on Windows (as i can see on systemrequirements.org)
and what they effectively are on Ubuntu. The difference is the FPS drop %.
That should give you an idea on how good or bad these games run on Linux.
The games in this video are:
- Brutal Legend (Steam, Native): http://store.steampowered.com/app/225260/Brutal_Legend/
- XCOM: Enemy Unknown (Steam, Native): http://store.steampowered.com/app/200510/XCOM_Enemy_Unknown/
- Max Payne (Wine 2.21-staging with CSMT support): http://store.steampowered.com/app/201330/Max_Payne/
PLEASE READ: i'm sorry, because of a typo, from 3:57 to 6:07 i showed you Max Payne and i said that FPS drop was 50%. It's wrong, it's 0%. Actually, there's no FPS drop from Windows to Linux (Wine) version. It works like a charm.
