3.15 Absolution Leaguestart Build Outline (Intermediate/Advanced Players) - Path of Exile Expedition

Disclaimer: Starting a new skill can be risky. Not recommended for beginners. I suggest having a level 80 character before following this outline.
Essences Note: I talk about essences at 7 min. Horror and Insanity are correct (Horror 30% more damage, Insanity 50% phys added as lightning).

Ascendancy:
Guardian
Levelling:
Core mechanic of build comes online at character level 18 (Phys to Lightning). Until then, Purifying Flame is really good.
Weapons:
Gem level gear. +1/+1 caster sticks. Minion, lightning or phys all work. (Can use +1 until then). Note - Scepters so Smite works. Or Convoking Wands dropping Smite.
ENDGAME ALTERNATIVE 1: Cerberus Limb & Aegis. Not leaguestrart friendly due to Aegis, Limb is fine in SC, hard in HC as delve boss drop. Ahutotli drops it.
Aegis drops anywhere, Shav’s tier, no div card. Might be 3-4ex early especially if this build is popular.
ALTERNATIVE 2: Prism Guardian setups. Endgame only as Prism brokenly good, probably top tier 2 unique.
ALTERNATIVE 3: Mjolnir. This requires MUCH more thought but has potential because Mjolnir is really really GOOD in 3.15
Reservations:
Option 1: unsupported Wrath, unsupported Herald of Purity (or Blind only which is 30% mana). Vaal Clarity. 21% more damage from Wrath. 15% more from HOP. 75% reserved (80% with blind)
Option 2: Coming Calamity, 6L Herald of Purity, 4L Herald of Lightning.
Zealotry inferior to Wrath.
Absolution setup
HELM. For level stacking (+minion level prefixes, as Absolution is minion tagged). 6L expensive on mana now. Hence 4L or pseudo 5L helm might be best. Essence mods in helm as well.
4L. Absolution. Phys to Lightning. Spell Echo. Lightning Penetration. OPTION of Empower endgame. Don’t use Empower-3, only use level 4 (probably removing Echo).
Echo over cascade because I do not believe that minions get Cascade on their spell. If this is incorrect, replace Echo with Cascade.
POB includes all sorts of endgame helms at differing levels. Crafting the top one will be Glyphic + Metallic + Faceted and unlikely to hit.
Solving Mana:
Lavignia's Spirit, Vaal Clarity.
Other gems
Smite GOOD. Smite – Fortify – Faster Attacks/Ancestral Call – Inc duration. If gem constrained, then cut down on these supports.
CWDT – Molten Shell setup. Mana cost always low on this setup. Or manual Molten. Steelskin as alternative if gear doesn’t fall the right way
Wave of Conviction – Phys to Lightning – Hextouch – Conductivity
Moveskill. Flame Dash still fine OR lightning warp OR frostblink.
Clusters:
This build is NOT cluster reliant. They are a powerful endgame option, not needed to get rolling.
Medium Disciples and Cult Leader on medium minion herald ones. Trivial to roll. Heraldry is good for Coming Calamity version. 4/5 passives, avoid pathing through small nodes.
Large: Consider Snowstorm with 1x Call of Brotherhood as an option
Storm Drinker if ES. Going to start life but possibly change with Prism Guardian, if you do this Storm Drinker good. So is Inspired Oppression especially with a pseudo-5L helm
Supercharge is AMAZING as we are not scaling crit.
Overshock solid. 60% is a meme, 30% increases is where it is at
Tempt the Storm VERY good. Guaranteed with Reforge Speed.
Use Lightning-8 here. Minion-8 offers nothing much, Elemental-8 little as well. Lightning-9 as budget choice. But maybe hold off, clusters come online late.
Small clusters: Life-3. Maybe chaos res instead.
Malachai’s Artifice with FLAME DASH or FROSTBLINK if no flat damage that krangles it. You likely want to do this which means flat lightning to spells is bad.
Chest
Pure defense options: Craiceann’s Carapace, Replica Farrul’s, Kaoms, Doppleganger Guise, Budget – Restless Ward. SHADOWSTITCH
Offense (damage projection): Inpulsa, Cospri’s Will, Skin of the Loyal as a 6L. Saqawals (mana reservation is a real issue)
Hybrid: Carcass Jack, Loreweave, Daresso’s Defiance, Expedition’s End, Replica Shroud of Lightless
Advanced Option: Doryani’s Prototype/Mahuxotl’s Machination/Karui Timeless jewel. NOT NECESSARILY POSSIBLE.
Ivory Tower lowlife ?? Requires reallocation of Guardian points. Could be good.
EXTREME ENDGAME OPTION: Eternity Shroud
Overall: CARCASS IS STARTING POINT. Doesn’t need links, probably needs 6S though.
