Let me just say, I'm far from a pro when it comes to Davinci Resolve but I've been using the program for about 2 years now and have only just realised how to correct aspect ratios on a clip-level. Other than my love of the RetroTINK 5X's Generic 4:3, not being able to easily correct aspect ratios has put me off recording using optimal or 1:1 settings. In case you weren't aware, old consoles didn't tend to use square pixels; so when you use an optimal sampling mode or 1:1 scale, the aspect ratio isn't quite right. This may not bother you, if not, then no worries. If you like to capture footage at 1:1 to correct in post, this may be of use to you!

If you know this already, that's great - it might even be obvious! However, I spent ages trying to figure this out!
