Oodles is such a fun word, isn't it? The recipe from the wholesome indie game Ooblets reminded me of the type of spaetzle my family makes, so in today's video I'll share that simple 5 ingredient recipe with you, after 5 facts on the Game. A traditional German dish with a twist … oh, and some bonus mushroom cream sauce, because the recipe for the spaetzle is so short and easy.

300g Flour
3 Eggs
150ml+ Sparkling Water
5g Salt
2g Nutmeg

300g Mushrooms
150g Cream
150g Vegetable Stock
10g Fresh Parsley
25g Butter
Pepper
Nutmeg
Salt

-combine flour, salt, nutmeg, eggs and sparkling water
-mix everything together till you have a smooth dough
-add more sparkling water, if necessary
-fill a big pot 2/3s up with water
-salt the water and bring it to a boil
-dip a butter knife into the water
-slowly pour the dough towards the edge of the bowl
-use the knife to scrape ~10-15 thin, long bits into the water
-let the spaetzle cook till they float
-fish them out with a slotted spoon
-repeat with the rest of the dough
-chop the parsley and the mushrooms
-add the mushrooms to a pan on medium heat
-stir the butter in
-add the parsley and stir it together
-roast for a couple minutes
-deglaze with cream and stock
-spice with salt, pepper and nutmeg
-reduce for a couple minutes
-combine spaetzle and Sauce
