This is a replica of Tower of the Sorcerer, the original Magic Tower Game but ported and altered to the HTML5 H5 engine from the h5mota Chinese community website filled with Tower of the Sorcerer (TotS/TWS) inspired games. (This means this game has some differences to the original)

During the video, I originally played my route on replay, but around 9 minutes in I had to stop the replay due to a replay desync. So, I had to play naturally a second time through that segment, which includes using the move undo functionality present in this engine as well as saving & loading save files to figure out the best methods of doing things.

As a result of the above, the video may feel a little jump-start. I felt it was important to leave this content in as it gives a good showing of how the game is actually played when going for more optimal strategies or testing around ideas.

Funnily enough, this run did better than my replay run HP-wise for the ending. My original replay would've finished at 15,111 HP remaining. But this new run ended at 16,381 HP remaining, a whole 1,270 HP increase.

At the end of the video I show me clearing without the HP boost from the super potion (holy water?) item that doubles HP in this version of the game which had me end at 9003 HP, then I added my clear with the potion used at 16,381 HP at the end of the video.

This game is very complicated, and there's lots of details to explain, but I'll be going in more detail over those if I ever beat the H5 taptap version, which is designed to be harder than any other TotS/TWS version (it most definitely is, I've had to optimise the entire game and I'm still optimising, parts of that can be seen in this easier game).

I am most likely going to upload the other versions of TotS before doing the H5 taptap version upload given how much harder that game is and the fact I haven't beaten it yet.

h5mota allows the playing of Magic Tower fangames in your web browser to have full support with mobile and computers, though the games can be downloaded locally and ran on a local server to be playable through your browser offline.

If you have a Chinese social media QQ account, you can register to h5mota and record all your game clears in there alongside making your own 魔塔 (Magic Tower) games. Though you can make games without uploading them and having an account locally if you don't wish to distribute them via h5mota.
