Here's another PC vs PS5 Pro argument.

$550 to upgrade your PC to a 5070 or a $700 to "upgrade" your PS5? Well, it's not exactly an upgrade because the PS5 Pro is a whole new console. They don't make PS5 parts upgradable like the PC. But personally, I would do neither because I still play older titles.

"You still have to upgrade your RAM, your CPU, maybe a monitor or two." Whoa. Whoa. Hold up. I don't recall getting a free "monitor or two" buying a PS5 Pro.

"The comparison is not a good one." I agree. It's not. The PS5 Pro is a whole new console, but the RTX 5070 is just one part of many.

"There's a lot of things that are anti-consumer, like gasoline." Uh, gasoline is expensive granted and you can make the argument that it is anti-consumers, but I definitely wouldn't be comparing it to a $2,000 RTX 5090.

One person said the graphics card is the most important part, which is only partially true to some extent. The other person said that the CPU is because it's the brain of the operation and without it, nothing works. That really depends on the games you're playing, but for most games, I argue the GPU is important, and the PS5 Pro is buying a whole new console with mostly the same stuff as the base PS5. It's not a good value, but then again, so are $550 GPUs.
