[5x Integer Scanlines] - Street Fighter 2: CE [1cc Ken] / PC Engine (Turbografx-16)
First time showing off the 5x integer scaling/cropping in a " feature video", and I managed to pull off a 1cc on the hardest difficulty with Ken! (My first for the PC Engine version of SF2). Zangief is without a doubt the most troublesome of the bunch on Lv. 8. You have to zone him the entire fight or you're gonna get set to spin-cycle every time you get close. ^-^ For many of the fights, I found that resorting to quick normal attacks that were guaranteed in some situations, were a better option than using specials. The higher difficulty AI will take advantage of any cool-down frames you give them, so special moves are sometimes best avoided. I also missed a bunch as I got increasingly nervous towards the end, approaching my first 1cc for this port. It's neat how the AI is a little bit different on all the various ports, once you dive into it.
5x integer cropping works excellently for Street Fighter 2 on any home console, and almost entirely eliminates the black bars on top and bottom in this video, leaving only a small portion remaining. Looks great on HDMI, though with scanlines, you may want to adjust the distance you are sitting from your display if you go the 5x route, because they do not look as good up-close. Raw pixels look excellent in this mode as well, and there's a link below to a 5x mirror playthrough of this video (bit sharper than I'd like, but just a demonstration), as well as a normal (non-5x) integer scaled video, for comparison:

This game is one of the rare cases where you'll want to use the "Raw RGB" palette option in the TGFX core. You'll find this is often the case with arcade conversions that had a RGB palette originally. For most other games on the system, "Original" palette works best. Keep in mind that the colors will be more susceptible to flare-outs from increased gamma correction. I wouldn't go over 2.3 for this game, for example. "Raw RGB" palette is already very bright and flared-out as it is, and high gamma correction values can really make this stand out in bad ways. When using the "Original" palette you can go a bit higher on gamma correction (when needed) and it often avoids this issue. When dealing with Turbografx/CD games in general I suggest taking precaution when adding additional gamma correction, as you will notice its effects a bit more than most other systems, even at low values. SNES is like this as well.
