6 Best And Worst Bits Of AC Odyssey: Torment Of Hades | Fate of Atlantis DLC Review
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey continues the fun Fate of Atlantis series with Torment of Hades - a trip to the Underworld to meet some surprising old friends and fight everyone we sent to hell in the main campaign. And that’s a whole lot of people. From new powers to strange cameos, these are the best and worst bits of the new AC Odyssey DLC.
Instead of waiting to the end to do a full Assassin’s Creed Atlantis review, we are offering impressions after each episode. If you are looking for a spoiler-free AC Odyssey DLC review, this should do the trick. This episode gives us another new area - the Underworld - to explore as we try to get Hades to like us after fighting his three-headed pet, Cerberus. But if the episode is lacking in new gods, it’s filled with new faces: some friends from the mortal realm are waiting for powerful reunions and there’s a league of old Cultist members who want to take a second pop at you. Assassins Creed Odyssey Atlantis is getting spicy.
If this was a formal Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Fate of Atlantis review we’d give the setting and enemies a big thumbs up, as it’s great to have a really tough combat challenge to use all our legendary gear on. One of the problems with Odysseus endgame is that the rewards you get for the toughest challenges don’t have much use - but now they do. It’s also amazing fan service as some stories from the main game continue and some old villains have a good old moan about what you did to them.
AC Odyssey Fate Of Atlantis also avoids many of the mistakes of the previous Assassin’s Creed DLC - the not very good Legacy of the First Blade - by giving us even more enhanced abilities and a new network of legendary heroes to bring down. It even breaks the mould a bit with the introduction of Tartaros Rifts - weird combat challenges that force you to sacrficie health to fight ghosts of the past. Fate of Atlantis Assassins Creed is about seven hours long, - this is something you can get your teeth into.
