The Amazing Spider-Man 2 press train is barreling toward the film's May 2nd release date and we're breaking down 6 things we've learned about the film so far. Needless to say there will be some spoilers ahead so if you want to go in fresh, probably best to just shut off all your electronics and avoid human contact for the next month. For those of you still with us in the 21st century let's get started! First up, after teasing Peter Parker's parent's death in the first film, we will find out exactly what happened to them -- like it or not. After leaving Peter with Uncle Ben and Aunt May, Richard and Mary Parker board a private plane in the hopes of escaping the evil clutches of Oscorp. As Richard uploads secret files from his computer to a safe location, the plane is hijacked by a -- wait for it -- assassin! Dun, dun, dun! The assassin tries to stop Richard from succeeding with the upload as they fight and the plane goes down. Next up, despite Peter and Gwen appearing to have continued their relationship since the events of the last film, they've actually not spoken in a year. Peter has been avoiding Gwen in order to keep his promise to her father, but when they see each other again, so long girlfriend's father's dying wish, hello hormones! Third on our list is why Electro has it out for Spider-Man. We see in the trailer that Spider-Man saves Jamie Foxx's character Max Dillon from becoming road kill. You'd think that would warrant a thank you card at least, but when Max is transformed into Electro, his emotions get the best of him and after a confrontation in Times Square goes horribly wrong, Electro gets angry at Spidey for stealing his thunder -- or would that be electricity? Fourth up is confirmation that Dane DeHaan, who plays Harry Osborn in the film, will in fact become the Green Goblin and not some Goblin knock-off. We also know that his transformation into Spider-Man's greatest foe will happen toward the end of the film, so expect that battle we've seen in the trailer to be all we really see of him. Speaking of Harry Osborn, as usual, he has a bone to pick with Spider-Man and it probably has something to do with his father -- he's always had daddy issues. Since he's yet to become the powerful Green Goblin, he decides to visit an imprisoned Electro in order to recruit him to take Spider-Man down. At first Electro isn't interested, but after Harry begs him, Electro agrees and Harry helps him escape and a new alliance is born, which lead us to...The Sinister Six. We know that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will set the stage for The Sinister Six movie and will introduce some of its most likely members including Electro, Green Goblin and Rhino. We could also see the first film's Lizard return to join the allegiance of villains, but which other characters could be included? Easter eggs in the trailer show Doc Ock, Vulture and Venom as likely candidates and in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Andrew Garfield mentioned fan favorite Kraven as someone he'd like to see join the Spider-Man Universe.
