Light guns have been live firing on Thetford's STANTA ranges for the first time in a decade. 7th Parachute Regiment RHA fired the first shells this week, on Exercise Sphinx Resolve. It's a change of use for the training area. For the last ten years, it's been exclusively used to train troops deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan. But now the Artillery is back, getting ready for contingency operations.
