A Spitfire from the Battle of Britain, which has been buried beneath Salisbury Plain for move than seventy years, is being unearthed by wounded servicemen.

Operation Nightingale is an award-winning archaeology project, which recruits personnel who're recovering from injuries, to participate in digs with a military theme.

The plane they are excavating was hit by enemy fire in 1940 - and the pilot's daughter, who never met her father, has visited the site too.
