8-Bit Showdown - Streets of Rage
Sega made sure all its customers could play Streets of Rage, but were the 8-bit versions any good?

Episode Notes:
1. Both captured via the Mega SG.
2. Something I forgot to mention in the video was that the Game Gear can display 3 enemies at once versus the Master System's two. No doubt a side effect of the lower resolution.
3. The Game Gear version was released in every major territory. The Master System version made its way to the PAL territories, Korea, and Brazil.
4. The music between the two versions is really similar with just a few note/tone differences here and there. I like the Game Gear sound better over all.
5. The Game Gear versions tend to be the cheaper of the two.
6. The Master System versions ending is almost scene for scene the same as the Genesis version. No bad ending is available, however.
7. My daughter declares the Master System version the better of the two as well. She did say that she wouldn't want to play either after playing on the Genesis, however. She captured about half the gameplay you see here.
