I received a text message from my co-worker the other night saying he got the 8bitdo SN30 Pro at Walmart for $19.00 CAD. He said they had 4 so they should have 3 left. I drove there the next morning and to my surprise they still had all 3 there. I was originally just going to buy one but then I thought about it and for the price I really should get two. These are regularly $59.99 CAD so it really is a good deal. I then thought one of my other co-workers might also want one so I figured I better just buy all 3 to be safe! Buying all 3 still cost less than the original price for 1 and of course my co-worker will pay me back for the 3rd one.

The fit and finish on these is outstanding. The plastic feels absolutely top notch. In fact it feels better than almost any controller I've ever felt! I think part of this is the fact that yes, the plastic is very good quality but also the fact it looks like an SNES controller and feels mostly like an SNES controller except because of the analog sticks, rumble motors and battery it weighs twice as much as a real SNES controller. It's actually not all that heavy considering but again when you feel this familiar shape in your hand that extra heft just adds to the feeling of quality. It feels like a sturdy little brick in hand! The buttons feel good too and the analog sticks have a smooth but firm spring tension and the snappy self centering you expect. They have a really grippy rubber on them too.

This is basically a mix between an SNES controller and a Playstation dual shock. So it works great with retro games both 2D and 3D. It's like the perfect controller for emulating everything from the 8-bit era, 16-bit era and 32-bit era (N64, PS1) and even beyond (PS2, PS3 etc)

Because it's Bluetooth it should work on just about anything that supports BT controllers inc PC, Mac and Nintendo Switch. The built in battery charges via a USB Type-C cable and lasts for 16 hours while taking 1-2 hours to charge (according to the box that is)

These are damn good controllers. Even at the regular price there's really nothing to complain about but at less than 1/3rd that price? WOW!
