Sonic Triple Trouble is the 4th mainline action (not counting the Drift racing series, Sonic Spinball etc) Sonic title for the 8-bit handheld released after Sonic Chaos and it might just be one of the best, if not THE best Sonic games on the Game Gear or Master System!

I only recently picked this one up and up until today only really played it shortly once before. The game takes a lot from Sonic 3 on Genesis/Mega Drive as that was released earlier in the same year. The first few boss fights gave a bad initial impression but the level design and following bosses are actually very good. The levels are larger with more levels of alternative paths and secrets to be found. The graphics are top notch for the 8-bit portable and music is as good as any other.
