A Critical Thought on Main Screen GUI Design
Today's Critical Thought begins our exploration into UI Design. Creating an effective UI or GUI is a hallmark of a great game designer. Since there are plenty of areas to focus on, I'm starting with the main screen, or the part the player will be looking at the most.
Making a good main screen is harder depending on the complexity of the game, but there are simple rules you should follow regardless of the genre.
