A Critical Thought on Puzzle Design
Puzzle design is the subject for today's critical thought. There are two distinct kinds of puzzle philosophy. You can have puzzles based on real world knowledge and application, or puzzles built around the lore or rules of the game world.
Good puzzle design is about presenting the player with all the tools they need to solve it, and avoid having the player read the developer's mind to figure it out.
