A Cute Yet Difficult Mix of Board Game with Deckbuilder Roguelite | Clonizer demo
2Hello everyone! Another demo from this upcoming Steam Next Fest. This is Clonizer, a game that mixes a Hex Grid Board Game playstyle with Deckbuilder Roguelite, all this with pretty cute graphics. When you start this game, it feels pretty chill, but once you start moving on, the game starts punishing you if you get careless (damn those UFOs). Let me know if you have played anything like this, but I just don't remember doing so (at least, not in videogames), so it felt like a unique twist to the genre, reason why I enjoyed it even more.
The deckbuilding and roguelite mechanics are pretty straightforward, you choose the path to follow, you can get into random events, card removals, card rewards, shops (where you can also upgrade cards and get artifacts) and so on. During the board game you will have to search for items and you will immediately win that battles once you have collected them all, but be careful; in the way you will find enemies and a few enviromental hazards, as well as helping drones, facilities and One Use cards.
I will like to describe how all of this work and tell you how awesome everything felt, but it is better if you just watch, absolutely worth it :).
