Bury Your Enmies While Protecting Your Altar In This Action Roguelite | Ancient Weapon Holly demo
2Hello everyone! We have another demo here. This is Ancient Weapon Holly, a game that has a roguelite and soulslike tag, but didn't quite feel like any of those. In this game, the main purpose is to destroy enemy gates while protecting your altar; if you manage to do it, you will advance to the next floor, but if you don't, you will go back one floor, keeping your upgrades. Of course there will be enemies in your way trying to stop you, and you can straight up fight them, or bury them for instakills. I don't know if there will be different levels, each one with 10 floors or more, but that is what I experience during this demo. Sadly, I couldn't pull myself to finish it, because, even when it felt like a nice starting idea, the gameplay itself got old pretty fast... That and the fact that aiming where to dig was harder and more frustrating than how I feel it should be. Also, the lack of extra defenses made it hard to defend and attack at the same time.
There is a similar idea in another game called Destroy The Monoliths (I will upload a video soon), so I would like this game to become something more like that.
