A Genuinely Masterful Take on a Survival Horror Action Roguelite!! | Shinonome (PC) @ 2K 60 fps
0Shinonome is an awesome action horror roguelite in development. It has a general feel of a mystery dungeon game with a intensely stressful resource management and positional awareness, making for a game that is immensely challenging and relentlessly tense. The rogue-like aspects of the game are expertly crafted and become quite devious the deeper you get. The basic premise of this game is you are a young priestess going through demon infested buildings. There is a story mode where the buildings are pre-set and the layouts/monsters/items are all the same, however their are modes where everything is also random. The houses you go through are crawling with danger. Enemies lurk around every corner and can kill you VERY easily. It's important to listen ahead at doors to determine what monstrosities you are dealing with and how to combat them. A big Oni? Lure it into a fire perhaps. Something smaller? Well you do have a gun albeit with limited ammo. Explore. Find items. Find the exit. Survive. It's all very intense. This is my favorite roguelite game this year, can wait for full release.
