The troops of The Queen's Royal Hussars received a Royal Visit today from their Colonel in Chief The Duke of Edinburgh.

As well as presenting the Regiment with their Operational Medals, he also awarded the Elizabeth Cross to the parents of Corporal Jack Stanley who died after being injured on Op Herrick 15.

As the Duke of Edinburgh arrived, the troops were ready and waiting for their Regimental photograph.

42 officers and 249 soldiers then marched onto the Parade Square in front of their loved ones.
