The people of Goose Green in the Falklands have been commemorating the 30th anniversary of the battle which liberated them from Argentine occupation in 1982.
The flagship of the fleet which took part in the amphibious landings 30 years ago was HMS Fearless.
On board was a man who later went on to become Commander British Forces South Atlantic Islands.
Commodore Philip Thicknesse came in to the studio and told Kate Gerbeau about his memories of the war at this point 30 years ago.
