A Safe Place (One-Shot) - Group 1 [7/29/20] - 5e D&D Dungeons & Dragons
6The Cult of Dolan is a sect of prophets which allow themselves to be stung by the mysterious cephalatroph, creatures whose poison is believed to be 100% fatal and to induce infallible, but cryptic, prophecies. While transporting a cephalatroph back to their monastery, one of the monks of Dolan was stung when the creature, normally very docile, attempted to escape. However, the monk did not die but instead went insane, attacking and killing cultists, monks, and guards before fleeing into the woods.
Father Emery, a weathered old man whose smile never reaches his eyes, is offering 1000 gold to whomever can recover the wayward monk alive, or the answer to any one question. To this end he is providing one elixir that when imbibed will place a creature in a magical comatose state. For whatever personal or professional reasons, you have agreed to work with others in the pursuit of this goal. Our adventure begins along a trade road north of Lake Gaultry and south of Langeberg Woods.
The PCs must find the monk and return him to the monastery.
This was a "5 Room Dungeon" project I attempted. The entire adventure was written and designed and built for VTT in roughly 2 hours during a live stream, using kassoon.com random generators, Inkarnate, and Roll20.
