0Walking further along the path, it becomes clear that the rain has washed parts of it away, making it quite treacherous in places as I trip over rocks and slip on mud etc, in the deeper parts under the tree canopy, the Gen 3 is really struggling and in my tests is only 20% better than the Gen 2+ in seeing further into the trees, the Gen 3 giving better contrast and being able to distinguish between trees whereas the Gen 2+, although doing great, leaves the trees beyond 10-15m looking blurry, merging into the background of the woods.
Not using the purple filter either, as I figured I'd need all the brightness I could get, and using the filter would only darken the image further before my eye gets a chance to see it, it fine for brighter places and laser use but not for dark woods with very little natural light.
