A Super Mario Thing - 107 - over there... (Part 2)
level author: raocow
This is where the level gets really frustrating, and is the main reason the video's in three parts. What it comes down to is abusing the fishin' boo sprite. You're not really supposed to place this sprite too low to begin with, because the flame's scrolling is as awkward as the porcu-puffer's, making it hard to anticipate. Now, normally, even if it is placed low, you can try to counteract that by running away from it and then faking it out with a sudden reverse in direction, to give yourself breathing room. However, the trees erase the platforms, giving you no room to run around. On top of that, a lot of jumps are wide and place you directly into the flame's line of fire- as in, the same exact height. So, how does the level author expect players to handle the situation? This is a prime example of how you need to keep new players' perspective in mind even when creating really tough stages.
