In this episode of Skul the Hero Slayer, I'll be using another Omen based strategy! Omens are a challenge run based strategy centered around items with powerful effects, but heavy downsides thanks to their Omen inscription. If you have Omen items they provide debuffs based on your Omen level. Omen 1 makes you take 50% more damage, Omen 2 makes you lose 50% of your Max HP, and Omen 3 makes you die if you take even one damage to your HP. This time I don't build to Omen 3, but stop at Omen 2. Omen 2 runs can even sometimes be even tougher than Omen 3 runs, because Omen 3 runs basically just become Mercury Heart runs, whereas when you build Omen 2 you can avoid the Omen 3 required strategies, like stacking Mercury Hearts and/or Shield and instead just tank the Omen debuffs directly. Whenever I do Omen runs I always make sure I have a powerful passive damaging strategy, such as Veteran Hunter's Boots or Raven's Monarch Feather, because having to engage fairly with every enemy you come across on Omen runs can quickly lead to you becoming overwhelmed. This time around I bring along a Raven's Monarch Feather as my main damage dealing AoE as well as an Evil Sword: Kirion for passive dash damage, and my skulls of choice are Ninja and Slave, as both have powerful i-frames! How will the Omens treat me this time around?
