In this Skul the Hero Slayer video, I'll be playing a Pikeman run with an Excessive Bleeding strategy! Pikeman is and has been for a long time a fan favorite. His strategies usually center around his dashes, building them up via high damage% to hit enemies hard or getting items that activate on dashing to overwhelm your opponents with too many different effects. This is the normal way, but for a long time Pikeman has carried a secret alternative build that could also become quite powerful. This was done by not evolving your Pikeman past Rare, and build around his in-air basic attacks. He has one of the fastest in the entire game, so you could get items like Jenny's Chain Sickle, Evil Sword Kirion, and other items that activate on basic attack and use them at extremely high speeds, which if built correctly would lead to insane DPS. If you evolved your Pikeman past Rare he would get a very clunky, non-spammable dashing move that completely killed Pikeman's ability to use kits like this, which is why he stayed at Rare rarity. HOWEVER, the recent 1.9 patch saw the devs removing this bad dash in-air attack and replacing it with one akin to his Common and Rare forms, so now Unique and Legendary Pikeman can do this builds as well! This is a welcome change, and now nothing is holding us back from easily enjoying in-air attack Pikeman builds more often! This run is actually a solo run, no partner skull for our boy.
