1 Death A10 Pts+Lab run on Elemental Hit Wander Champ starting from Lvl 13/Early Act 2 all the way through Campaign. This run was done as part of the Wraeclast Rally speedrun event.

PLEASE NOTE/DISCLAIMER: This run was done BEFORE the announcement/release of Necropolis patch notes. This is a speed run build on a wander because I had been curious about giving a wander archetype a go for a while in speedrun context, I enjoy elemental hit as a skill generally, and the pathing of the skill and champ helps create a pretty decent build through campaign. There is not thought about what happens with the build after the campaign. Likewise, I have not thought about how any new supports for wands or changes to balance for wand will affect this build/setup.

This was quite a fun run to get together. Elemental Hit presents some interesting challenges for a campaign run because you have to manage your XP particularly well in the speedrun context to ensure you're hitting the right gem level break points at the right time. Shield charging on champ feels fantastic once you have the adrenaline ascendancy. I choose the Worthy Foe pathing for speedrun purposes as the first fortify node is just kind of dead, the impale node doesn't really do anything for elemental hit, and the aura/reservation selection is a bit limited in campaign due to mana reservation issues/sockets, thus, the Worthy Foe line provided the most value as it gave decent power at 2nd lab and at the 3rd lab. Gearing is pretty relaxed for this build as you can use a driftwood wand into a white Carving Wand (1.5 APS) once you have enough int and craft attack speed or a resistance on it and be set weapon wise for most part. On other hand, ele hit can be a bit frustrating because you don't always get the full benefit of flat attack mods on rings/gloves/weapons/amulets/auras and the like as with ele hit you only deal the chosen type of elemental damage which, in effect, means any flat damage you have on gear is only partially effective (ie when the chosen element is selected).

Elemental Hit starts a bit weak, but the area between duelist/ranger is dense with very strong nodes for the build and by the time you get them and get champ's first ascendancy things start flying and feeling smooth. One thing that is important is that Herald of Ice is a bit of an MVP in terms of XP management through the game. Even though it doesn't proc everytime you use it if the cold element isn't chosen/freeze doesn't happen, it helps enough with clearing to be an important aspect of managing XP. Overall, the run felt good. I did grind this run out a bit starting with a very different iterations including using Slayer as the original ascendancy. There is definitely a fair amount of optimization to do still within the run, but it feels like it has a good foundation at the moment. The only death in the run came to Merc Izaro who I thought was phasing back to platform but was actually doing a shield charge/slam move which I moved into. The speed can be upped somewhat as during the late part of second half I was trying pretty hard to not die to get the max points possible in Rally which meant I was clearing/moving way less aggressively than earlier in run.

Because this is more of a straight speedrun rather than a campaign speed leveling video like some of my other runs I have on YT, I will just be linking the PoB of Char Gear and Tree at the end of run rather than going into a full break down of leveling process like I do with some of the speed leveling videos I have done in the past. I do intend to get back to doing such content, but as this run was part of the Wraeclast Rally speed running event, I am going to ship the run and PoB as is.
