Abyssal Miko (Labyrinth of Touhou 2 Plus Disk)
Abyssal Miko seems like an unassuming boss from her affinities and resistances. While she is highly resistant to SPI and DRK, she only has some resistance to FIR, CLD, WND and NTR and is weak to MYS and PHYS. Her ailment resistance is also a mixed bag: while she boasts full immunity to PSN, PAR, TRR, DTH and debuffs, she only has some resistance to SHK and is neutral HVY and SIL. So what's the catch here? Well, according to Touhou Wiki, Abyssal Miko's defensive stats are almost as high as her attacking stats.
Though we don't have the exact numbers for the Abyssal version, the Heavenly version sets her ATK and MAG at 4.6M with her DEF and MND being 4.4M. While the Abyssal version will have scaled up stats, the ratio of ATK/MAG to DEF/MND should still be similar.
Since Abyssal Miko cannot be debuffed by most characters, the basic idea behind this fight is to inflict SIL or HVY and then use a MYS or PHYS attacker respectively to punch through her defenses. Saying that, this isn't the only gimmick Miko is bringing to the table. While she doesn't have the shifting weaknesses from her 22F fight, she does change moveset twice. In her Good form, she relies on SPI attacks as well as Tradition of Just Rewards (Good), Protecting Light from the Heavens, Half-Moon Slash, Destroy Magic, Shining Arrows from the Sky and Refresh.
At some point below 50% HP, she will use her personal, group targeting SPI spell, Halo of the Guse Kannon, before shifting to Evil form. Aside from gaining Tradition of Just Rewards (Evil), she can use problematic attacks like Scythe of Calamity (HP-reducing attack), Roar Shockwave, Gravity Manipulation, Black Universe, Dividing Slash and Karmic Retribution (which reflects debuffs + ailments back onto your front row. Note that with Miko's good resistances, it probably isn't as dangerous in this fight)
As you might suspect, piercing characters come in very handy here. On the magical / MYS side, you have Kaguya (Dragon Necklace + piercing passives), Iku (her normal Attack + piercing passives), Alice (Hanged Hourai Doll + piercing passives, with Sorcerer's Enhanced Row Attack as an extra booster) and Utsuho (Giga Flare + Sheer Force). I can't remember if there are piercing physical attackers but Yuugi and Nitori can probably punch through, even before adding HVY. Defensively speaking, while Dhylecs and Bikkebakke / Younger Brother's Mushrooms will help (since Miko is limited to SPI, DRK and MYS attacks) you also need someone reasonably tanky in Slot 1 to survive Tradition of Just Rewards.
I mentioned that Abyssal Miko cannot be debuffed by most characters. You can see for yourself how ineffectual Reisen is for most of this fight (I think she landed a MND debuff once, and she also struggled to inflict SIL with any consistency, though that may have been bad RNG). There are actually two other ways to inflict debuffs on the Crown Prince. Abyssal Miko's low SHK resistance means that you can bring Mamizou and her SHK-dependent passives to forcibly debuff Miko. Dodge-related debuffs via Awakened Mystia as well as the Avoid Ring item are also technically possible, but I wouldn't rely on either strategy if you're not already using them consistently.
Anyway, I definitely liked this fight. There is a lot of potential for bad RNG bc of Miko's huge arsenal, but I think her solid defenses / piercing gimmick make her more interesting than most Corridor fights.
