So, it's been known for a while that the Corridor fight against the Stray Metal Jelly can be repeated multiple times for duplicate Iron Man Headbands and Liquid Metal Minds. The reason you can repeat the SMJ fight is because it has one important move: World Devouring Despair. This move drains the TP of your front row and while it doesn't affect most characters (only Instant Attackers and reviving characters are really impacted) or have much effect in the regular Dungeon, it does have an interesting effect in the Corridor.

If you defeat the SMJ while your entire front row has 0 TP, what happens is that you will get the rewards for defeating the boss (Iron Man's Headband as the in-battle reward, and then Liquid Metal Mind as the out-of-battle rewards) and then your front row characters will be kicked out of the dungeon for having 0 TP. When you're left with no front row characters, YOU will also be kicked out of the dungeon. If you re-enter the Corridor, you will be put on 550F again and if you want to progress, you'll have to defeat (or survive) the SMJ again. And, yes, once you do so, you'll get another copy of the boss' rewards.

While this trick has been up on the Touhou Wiki for a while it occurred to me just now that, if I could replicate the same effect for the other fights (defeating a boss with 0 TP and then being kicked out afterwards), I could technically make any Corridor boss loot duplicatable. The bad news is that IIRC, the SMJ is the only boss capable of using World Devouring Despair (meaning it's the only boss that can unintentionally help you get kicked out of the Corridor post-fight). The good news is that there IS a way for you manually reduce your own TP.

You take one of the two characters: Mystia, Chen or Momiji (aka the characters with the Instant Attack passive), you give them the same amount of TP, you have them tag themselves in and out, and you do this until one of the characters has 0 TP. While you would need the other three slots to be empty, the theory was "winning the fight with only one character (who has 0 TP) should get you kicked out of the Corridor".

I decided to test this theory out and the result is... it works! You might think this is a bit impractical, and it DEFINITELY is if you want to duplicate all loot from all the bosses. But if you want extra Jewels of Awakening this is way better than saving up Infinity Gems or getting through several Corridor loops.

It should be noted that this trick is easier and harder than it looks. It's easier than it looks because you don't need to have Chen solo the boss like in the video. She (or the Instant Attacker you've picked) just needs to be the only character in front, landing the killing blow.

But the trick is also harder than it looks because it's more complicated than "the front row must be empty". Watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxU5_upwhO8

I don't have any interest in abusing this trick now, but on my next playthrough? I just might try it...
