I admit that I basically skipped over this fight. Most of the remaining Abyss bosses are bosses you'll have faced three times now (first in Main Game, then for Plus Disk's story and again on 30F via the Heavenly Boss Rush) and, honestly, I am so sick of the Corridor and so ready to get to what little unique content there is left (which I believe is the last three, unique Corridor bosses and the two Plus Disk, Post-Game superbosses) that I went ahead and steamrolled Abyssal Ran.

I do regret the choice a little, since Abyssal Ran is actually fairly different from her previous incarnations. Unlike her Main Game and Plus Disk fights, Abyssal Ran no longer relies on her Shikigami flunkies. Instead, her main gimmick is retaliatory buffs. If she senses a debuff to her ATK and MAG or DEF and MND she will use her corresponding personal spellcard to rebuff them. At the start of the fight, these are regular style buffs but once she's hit 75%, she'll activate Super-Fast Hard Arithmetic and these buffs become permanent stat boosts. I don't know what the upper limits on these buffs are but they seem to be ridiculously high (relevant video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qcXcBtdZst8)

So long as you don't debuff her ATK, MAG, DEF or MND (SPD debuffs are still fully on the table), the fight becomes a lot simpler, though it doesn't necessarily become easier, depending on the party. Ran starts the fight with the following moves: Fox-Tanuki Laser Youkai Laser (a group targeting MND spell), Princess Tenko (a group targeting NTR spell), Magic Drain (self explanatory) and Piercing Light (a row targeting spell).

When you've depleted 50% of her HP, she'll gain Soaring En no Ezuno (which is a row targeting, PHYS composite spell that targets DEF instead of MND), Row Attack (PHYS row targeting attack), Half Moon Slash (group targeting spell that removes a flat 50% off your HP) and 1000 Needles (which I believe is a PHYS composite attack).

Abyssal Ran strongly resists SIL and DTH and has high resist to PSN, PAR, HVY and TRR but is neutral to SHK and weak to debuffs. She strongly resists SPI, has high resist to FIR, WND and NTR, is neutral to PHYS, weak to DRK and MYS and is VERY weak to CLD.

A few things to note:

-If you are going to avoid debuffing Ran, make sure you reset skills for characters like Yukari (who can auto debuff whenever they get their turn).

-Abyssal Ran seems to completely shift elements, defenses and targeting style for the second half of the fight, moving from predominantly MND targeting MYS attacks to DEF targeting PHYS attacks with composite formulas. The shift in affinities is probably worth noting if you're making use of an Elementalist.

-None of Ran's personal spellcards have any special ACC modifiers, so EVA tanks should be good to go here.

-Thanks to Half-Moon Slash and Magic Drain, this fight can be a bit random.

While I didn't do this fight properly, I did make one adjustment to my party: that was giving Kanako enough HP via level bonuses for her to barely survive Ran's attack and go immediately into Desperation.
