Acer Predator Triton 500 (2019) | Gaming Benchmark & Tour
After unboxing Acer's Predator Triton 500 gaming laptop with Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080, we tour the hardware and do full benchmark testing on the performance, display and storage.
The Triton 500 is one of the best gamer notebooks of 2019 which won't break your budget, boasting impressive specs and a slender build - possibly my favourite slim and light performance laptop of the year so far. My review model sports the GeForce RTX 2080 Turing GPU, although you can scale this back to a 2060 to cut the price. This still offers Ray Tracing support for incredibly realistic visuals while gaming, plus Acer has shoved in a Core i7-8750H chipset for speedy running. My PCMark and 3DMark scores were as strong as hoped, even without making use of the overclocking feature.
The 15.6-inch IPS display sports a FHD resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, while there's some strong connectivity on offer - you can hook up to three external displays, including Thunderbolt support.
My full review of the Predator Triton 500 is coming soon, and so far I'm impressed by the sleek and subtle metal design, solid specs and Acer's tri-blade cooling system - although it is typically a noisy beast!
