After unboxing the BenQ GV1 portable wireless projector, we run through the setup and test out streaming from iPhone and Android smartphones, via casting, AirPlay and wired connections. This thing works at home or for travel, for movies, gaming and everything else.

The GV1 costs Β£329 here in the UK and offers a solid range of features, including a dedicated App Store (Aptoide) with the likes of Netflix, YouTube, Plex and Kodi support. You can also beam your smartphone's screen to your wall using this BenQ projector, although we had some issues with wireless connectivity with some Android mobiles. No such problem with the Mirror function on iOS, although you can't use Netflix in this mode thanks to the usual DRM shenanigans. Boo.

Still, while this isn't the best portable projector I've reviewed, there's plenty to love here. The design is slick, you get three hours of use on a single battery charge as advertised (albeit with reduced brightness) and the auto keystone feature works as well.
