Re-review of the Honor View 20 (or V20) a few months after the early 2019 launch, and one month ahead of the Honor 20 release. I check out the camera updates, Magic UI (basically Huawei's EMUI 9), long-term performance and battery life as well as the hardiness of that sleek design.

I was bowled over by the View 20's slick design when it first hit the UK, with a pinhole camera for a full-screen finish. The 48MP camera with ToF support was one of the best around that £400 to £500 asking price, and now it's better than ever thanks to the updated night mode. Check out my test results to see how low light shots have improved long-term.

Performance is still premium for games such as PubG Mobile, courtesy of the Kirin 980 chipset and 6GB of RAM - similar specs to those found in the flagship Huawei P30 and P30 Pro. The GPU Turbo 2.0 feature means PubG offers slick results. And the Honor View 20 doesn't skimp on battery performance either, with a 4000mAh cell on board, plus 22.5W SuperCharge support.

Sure, there's no OLED screen for your media here, but Magic UI's Vivid Mode helps to produce richer tones for a punchy output. I still like it as much as when I first reviewed the View 20, even if it can't quite match rivals.

Stay tuned for reviews of the Honor 20 and OnePlus 7, both coming in May 2019!
