Tenya Iida is a very thought-provoking character to play as.
This is due to the fact that throughout the time I spent simply playing this game, I was tasked to solve a riddle that plagued my entire experience.
What exactly is Optimum Performance?
Now if you were to look up that exact question online you'll be told "Optimum Performance is about doing the very best that you can in the moment."
Now to an extent that's correct; however, this isn't exactly what I believe to be its meaning for Iida.
Yes Tenya should give 110% at all times no matter what he's doing.
He could be running 1,000 miles or he could be adjusting his glasses.
No matter the task or importance of it, every molecule in his body should be reinforcing his probability of success.
With that being said, you could also apply that to every other character in the game.
So that didn't seem like the correct answer to me, and only time would tell what it actually means for Iida.
Well ladies and gentlemen and non-binary friends, I'm happy to tell you that I now know exactly what "Optimum Performance" means to Tenya Iida...
It means hiding in trees and kicking the ever-loving freakin CRAP outta anyone and everyone you see, it doesn't matter if they're friend or foe, kick em' all-

First of all, you don't wanna just kick people, no see that's not nearly fun enough.
What you're gonna wanna do is slam down several cans of Monster and Redbull energy drinks and start pumping your veins full of pure concentrated Recipro Turbo.
By activating Iida's turbo, you essentially become the closest thing to a living bullet, but you're probably more dangerous because a bullet can't roundhouse kick someone's face off their face.
Movement is essential to getting the most out of his turbo, you can't turn it off mid-use (not sure why you'd wanna go ahead and do something like that anyway), but by slamming down a 5-Hour Energy you can do a bunny hop summersault front flip.
I don't even really know what that means but it's awesome and you should do it as often as possible.
Nothing confuses an enemy more than if their target just starts flipping all over the place, it's great.

For most characters, you only have 1, if any, quirk skill that allows you to improve your movement.
Kaminari can shoot forward or upward by turning into a living lightning bolt.
Kirishima can like just punch forward, literally breaking gravity cause he's just that cool.
Mr. Compress can just snap his fingers and disappear in a cloud of smoke, this also annoys your enemies which is really fun so that's a plus.
And Dabi has none-
The point is, not only does Iida have a quirk skill to help his movement, but every single one of his quirks are literally designed to give you the most overpowered control of maneuverability of any character in the game.
Now you might think that since so much of his design is about movement and his special action focusses around saving his teammates, you may think that he's just a really fast support, and while yea he is, he's also insanely overpowered.
Case in point, Iida's "Frick you Dinkus, how dare you exist in my world, prepare for your immediate doom" attack, also known as Recipro Burst.
All joking aside, I honestly believe this is the most powerful attack in the entire game.
As long as you just SEE the enemy, you can tap the quirk button and bro just nonchalantly perfectly locks on, curves IN THE AIR, and slams him foot so hard into the enemy that their body just evaporates.
You get two of these at once, and they recharge quickly.
This means that if you know exactly how they work and know how to use them the best, you can down a full-health and shield player in, no joke, like 15 seconds.

And don't you forget about his most wacka-doodle off the walls move yet, Recipro Wheel.
Lotta "Recipro" with this guy.
Personally I prefer just describing what the move does, which is allowing you to do a flying spin kick, three of them in fact, in a row, which can be used to attack enemies and traverse the map just as effectively, which is a lot.
Now you may be asking, "Why would I want to spin through the air?"
First of all how dare you, but second of all, let me answer that question with a question.
Who wants to kick some poor enemy into the air with a spinning kick, SOAR through the air to spin kick them again, AND THEN SLAM you foot straight into their stunned faces to break their shields and send then flying across the battlefield.
See? Awesomeness.

This is most likely going to be my last video on the game PRE-NEXT UPDATE-
Apparently, there's gonna be a BIG update in 6 days from right now, which will add a new character, and more importantly to me, finally a new map.
When the update comes out, I'm most likely going to play as the new character for the first video.

After that maybe Shigaraki or Mt. Lady ^^
