ACTIVISION BLIZZARD Q1-2023 REPORT: PC PLATFORM OUTPERFORMS CONSOLES BY $27 MILLION
Activision Blizzard's Q1-2023 financial report reveals that the PC platform generated $666 million in revenue, outperforming consoles by $27 million. This trend has been consistent for almost a year and is primarily due to the success of Blizzard's games such as Diablo, Overwatch, and World of Warcraft. Mobile games, led by Candy Crush, generated the most revenue overall at $956 million. Activision's Call of Duty games earned $137 million while Blizzard's mobile games like Diablo Immortal added $99 million. Although Blizzard's games only earn half as much as Call of Duty, 72% of that revenue is on PC and just 8% on the console. Call of Duty revenues are more evenly spread out among console, PC, and mobile. With the simultaneous launch of Diablo 4 on PC and consoles in June, Blizzard's console audience could significantly grow.
