The launch of Redfall, one of the most anticipated titles of 2023, was a disaster as it disappointed fans with bugs, poor AI, and a 30FPS cap on consoles. Senior 2D artist Sadie Boyd from Arkane Studios vented on Twitter about other developers mocking her after the poor launch. Redfall quickly became the lowest-rated game from Arkane Studios, and Microsoft believed it would be a disaster. Although a poor release should not be used to ridicule other developers' work, it is also understandable that many have criticized the game. Despite this, games like Cyberpunk 2077 have been vastly improved over time, and the same could happen with Redfall. Phil Spencer took the blame for the game's release, expressing his concern, and fans hope that Redfall will be a lesson for Xbox and that Starfield will not suffer from similar issues.
