So I was casually playing through the game and by pure accident, managed to softlock the game by a save station before the actual saving part occured.... yikes.

So I had a look at it again and managed to redo it with some ease. It's very situational as the Thruster ability doesn't work anywhere other than rooms that gives the device kinectic energy to enable flying such as the room shown in this video.

So if you're casually playing the game or happened to speedrun it, make sure you're not pressing Triangle/Y and thrusters to softlock the game.
