Adding a playlist to your library in Apple Music on iPhone is a simple yet essential function that enhances how you organize and access your favorite music. This tutorial explains how to quickly add playlists to your Apple Music library, whether you're creating your own or saving one curated by Apple or other users.
To get started, open the Apple Music app on your iPhone and ensure you're signed in with an Apple ID that has an active Apple Music subscription. Without a subscription, adding full playlists or saving music for offline access won't be possible.
Navigate to the 'Library' tab at the bottom of the screen. From here, you can explore various sections like Albums, Artists, and Playlists. If you've already created a playlist or are viewing someone else's, you can add it to your library by tapping the 'Add' or '+ Add' button. For custom playlists you’ve created, tap into the playlist and then use the 'Add Music' option to include individual tracks. You can search and browse music to add directly to that playlist.
When viewing a curated or shared playlist in Apple Music’s catalog, tap the '+' icon or 'Add to Library' to save the entire playlist. Once added, it will appear in the Playlists section of your Library, making it accessible offline (if you’ve also enabled downloads) and available across all your devices via iCloud Sync.
Remember, you must have an active Apple Music membership to use these features fully. Without one, your options to add or save content will be limited.
