Add Your EBT Card to Walmart App
Adding your EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) card to the Walmart app allows you to easily use your SNAP benefits to pay for eligible groceries and other items during online checkout. Walmart supports EBT payments both online and in-store, and setting it up within the app takes only a few minutes. Here's how to do it.
First, open the Walmart app and make sure you're signed in to your account. If you haven’t created an account yet, you’ll need to sign up using your email address. Once you’re logged in, tap on the account icon located in the bottom right corner of the app interface.
Next, tap on the gear icon in the top right to access your account settings. From there, scroll down and select the 'Wallet' option. The wallet section is where all your saved payment methods are stored, including debit cards, credit cards, gift cards, and now your EBT card.
Tap the button that says 'Add new payment method'. On the payment options screen, look for the section that mentions EBT or SNAP. Tap on it, and you’ll be prompted to enter your EBT card number just like you would with a standard debit card. Make sure the information is accurate and complete, then tap 'Save Card' to finish.
Once your card is added, you’ll be able to use it at checkout to pay for eligible items. The Walmart app will indicate which products qualify for EBT payment, and during the final checkout step, you can split payments between EBT and another method if needed.
