This is honestly what I wanted with debuff teams, giving a gambit effect to work around for better outcomes if you strategize around it. Other strategy/RPG games implement this but with way too much negatives or too much positives. So it's nice seeing a balance that pays off in the end. Terror teams requires their first turn to be a prep phase due to aether issues, but after that it's consistent damage while chaining terror afflictions.
