I managed to optimize Stage 1 from the forest fire onward. Apparently I wasn't mashing A and B as much as possible, as I found out it is indeed possible to gain hyper mode before the Zur battle, which alone makes that fight go MUCH faster. On top of that the goblin hallway and Zur battle have been greatly optimized to the point where I think I can safely say that I am done with Stage 1! Onto Stage 2!
