Why are there are not many games about rainbows? But having come back from a holiday in Wales where for some reason I saw a LOT of rainbows, this seemed the perfect game to play since there are as nearly as many rainbows in this game as there were there.

This game is a port of the arcade game Rainbow Islands and there is a choice between an all new 'Extra' mode or the original mode, a straight port of the arcade game.

It's an interesting vertically scrolling platformer. Your jump is fairly weak, so your primary means of ascent is by creating rainbows, which also trap or defeat enemies. Powerups turn your usual double rainbow into a triple rainbow or increase their speed.

It's a good solid game, although falling a long way can be frustrating and the music is fairly annoying, too bad it's the only music you'll hear in most of the game outside of the boss battles.
