Alien Isolation performance comparison SteamOS 1.0 & Windows 10, Nvidia & AMD
*** The drivers used for all systems were the latest stable drivers available for all systems and cards at the time of the recording ***

Basically few minutes of gameplay side by side @ 1920x1080 resolution (I forgot to add the res in the video)
- Numerous edit/cuts are present throughout the videos in order to keep them somewhat in sync, whatever jumps you'll see are because of this.
- Chromatic Aberration and Film Grain were disabled because they suck and for no other reason.
- Still on SteamOS 1.0 because it has better performance than 2.0.
- I tested SteamOS with Nvidia because is my main system while Ubuntu with AMD because I prefer Ubuntu for testing AMD graphics (fglrx/mesa repos etc).
For SteamOS it would be more complicated to test latest available mesa drivers.
- Sorry, no graphs this time. It took me long enough already and besides...the diff in perf is pretty obvious without graphs.
- The capture was done externally with a Blackmagic card, so this is the actual performance - the editor used was Kdenlive.
- The drivers were the latest stable drivers available for all systems at the moment of the recording.
- On SteamOS the Steam desktop client was used instead of BPM (to get the same FPS counter).
- On Ubuntu the Gnome Flashback session was used instead of Unity.
- Game settings: Default fov, Film Grain = disabled, Fullscreen = yes, Deep color = on, Res = 1920x1080, Vsync = off, Level of detail = ultra, Shadow map res = 2048, Shadow mapping = ultra, Particles = ultra, Motion blur = on, Dof = on, Chromatic Aberration = off, Planar reflections = on, SSAO = hdao, Texture filtering = Aniso 16x, Volumetric lighting = on, AA = smaa t2x
- If you're reading this, thank you for not making me to answer the same questions again and again.
