This Aliens Dark Descent game guide video shows how to survive a bigger xenomorph attack in the final part of the Prologue taking place on the Pioneer Station. You'll have to wait for the dropship to arrive when trying to leave the station with the marines.
Activate Skills Menu and pick Suppressive Fire. Aim at the area you came from. It's recommended that you use this skill 3 times for 3 different marines to make sure that you'll cover the entire entrance. You should have 3 Command Points to make that happen.
