For one of the earlier attempts to create an Aliens-themed mod for HL1, it's a bit unfortunate to see that a lot of the level design here leaving much to be desired. I can understand the lack of custom assets, but even then it's still one of those wirejams where I had to do extra work to help salvage what would be a rather dull experience. I don't think I've done enough, but only so much I can do.

A switch hunt that doesn't tell you what opened, interspersed with zombie reskins that just pop in out of thin air. No smoke, fire, nor any attempts to mask where the xenos are coming from. On top of that, a forced cutscene that randomly decides whether the player gets ganged up at the very first ambush should they go ahead of their squad. Got rid of that almost immediately when I first started.

In regards to the switch hunt, I wasn't sure if I should go for the classic camera option or doing "landmarks". The latter won after I realized that the mapping barely provides signs or anything visually unique to go off of. Bit immersion breaking, but it works enough. Peppering bodies all over the map also helped with navigation, since none of them are the same aside from the first ambush.
