All Monster Locations (How to Catch All Monsters) - Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy 100% Walkthrough
42This shows where to catch every monster in the game. When deciding where to catch each monster the locations I chose were for my convenience of recording & not necessarily the easiest place to catch them (i.e. you might want to catch it somewhere else if that is the only monster you need). I mention additional respawn locations (if any) for each monster. Of all the monsters the only 1 in the entire game that is missable is the Smiling Burble.
Great Wall Entrance 2 (0:00): 10 Monsters
Mummy Chihuahua (0:20): Right at the entrance.
Cobra (0:36): In 1 of the jars found as soon as you are off the ground floor. Also found in the Lost Temple, GWE 1 & 3, & the Cursed Palace. GWE II & the Cursed Palace are the easiest.
Half Brute (0:45): In the entrance room of GWE 2. Also found in South Desert & Heliopolis Point.
Mummy Worm (1:27): At the top of the entrance room just before heading into the next part of GWE II. Also found in the Lost Temple.
Blade Scorpion (1:29): Found in a jar at the top of the entrance room just before heading into the next part of GWE II. Also found in the Lost Temple, GWE 1 & 3, & the Cursed Palace (easiest).
Sharpbeak (1:50): In the 2nd area, turn right & head straight. Also in the Lost Temple.
Skull Worshipper (2:07): Found just after the bridge with the spike trap on top. Also in the Uruk Islands.
Cyclops (2:32): Found in the room near the bridge with the spike trap on top. Also in GWE 1.
Knives Cat (2:39): Found just after riding the moving rope. Also in the Lost Temple, GWE 1 & 3, & South Desert. South Desert or GWE 3 are easiest.
Crabhands (3:23): Found just passed the Knives Cats. Also be found in GWE 1.
Uruk Canyon (3:36): 8 Monsters
Slim Burble (3:52): Found in the area where Ketta was held captive. Also near the farm in Heliopolis (best).
Smiling Burble (4:00): There are 3 found here & 1 more in Uruk Temple, but once they are all defeated it is impossible to catch them. Supposedly in the PC version of this game they respawn in Uruk Temple, but I have not confirmed this myself.
Big Bull (4:30): Found to the right of where Ketta was imprisoned.
Nose Needler (4:50): Found straight from Ketta's prison. Also in the Uruk Islands & South Desert (best).
Electric Armadillo (5:42): Found near the Nose Needler.
Tree Creature (5:53): Found near the Nose Needler. Also in the Uruk Islands.
Sunflower (6:10): Found to the left of Ketta's prison.
Fire Armadillo (6:49): In the same area as the Sunflower. Also found in the Lost Temple, GWE3, Inside GWE 1, & just outside GWE 1 (best).
Green Giant Worm (7:02): In the same area as the Sunflower.
Heliopolis Point (7:15): 1 Monster
Spike Spider (7:21): Found roaming all over Heliopolis Point (best). Also found in the Uruk Islands.
Great Wall Entrance 3 (7:36): 1 Monster
Skeletal Spider (7:55): Right at the beginning of GWE 3.
Uruk Islands (8:15): 2 Monsters
Skull Swordsman (9:06): Use the Ka Ankh Firing Point to transport to the Ka Ankh on the right.
Skeletal Axeman (9:49): Use the Ka Ankh Firing Point to transport to the 3rd Ka Ankh.
Lost Temple (10:55): 2 Monsters
Dark Worshipper (11:20): Upon entering the temple take 2 lefts then a right at the Mummy Worms.
Almost-A-Bull (10:28): Take a left at the Mummy Worms that lead to the Dark Worshipper.
Great Wall Entrance 1 (12:48): 1 Monster
Wasp Spider (13:17): Take the statue & use the moving platform on the right side of the room.
Abydos (14:39): 9 Monsters
Goofy Lizard (14:39): Trade all 4 minigame medals to the guy in Abydos Canal (for help with the medals see https://youtu.be/FZaX0N7clY8).
Small Frog (15:46): Buy from Montu's Monster Shop for 70 Scarabs.
Shell Critter (16:04): Buy from Montu for 360 Scarabs.
Rat (16:10): Buy from Montu for 100 Scarabs.
Mummy Bird (16:16): Buy from Montu for 300 Scarabs.
Shuttlecock Bird (16:23): Buy from Montu for 900 Scarabs.
Featherless Turkey (16:30): Buy from Montu for 700 Scarabs.
Piranha (16:40): You only get 1 chance to catch a piranha, but it's not missable. If you fail to catch it then the guard at the end of the bridge will give 1 to you.
Exo-Piranha (16:40): Same as regular Piranha.
