All NEW 2023 Genesis GV70 Electric - Prices, FIRST LOOK
9Genesis has unveiled the pricing and packaging of the all-electric 2023 Electrified GV70 for its US market. It's the first Genesis model ever to be produced stateside, with a starting price of $65,850 for the Advanced All Wheel Drive model and $72,650 for the Prestige All Wheel Drive model, before an additional destination charge of $1,125.
The Electrified GV70 is based on the award-winning GV70 platform and is Genesis' third electric vehicle offering after launching the GV60 SUV and Electrified G80 executive sedan. The new model offers a generous interior space designed with performance in mind, as well as various technologies that are exclusive to electric vehicles.
Both All Wheel Drive models come standard with dual motors capable of outputting a maximum of 483 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, thanks to Boost Mode. Furthermore, efficiently shifting between two-wheel and all-wheel drive depending on power requirements guarantees better fuel efficiency — something that's important in all cars today.
The more affordable Advanced All Wheel Drive version comes with a 77.4 kilowatt hour battery along with an electronically controlled suspension with Road Preview and 20-inch alloy wheels — among other features. Additionally, it includes an entire suite of advanced driver assistance systems to ensure safety first.
The top-of-the line Prestige All Wheel Drive carries an MSRP of $73,775 and adds touches like Nappa leather seating surfaces and microfiber suede headliner — plus much more in terms of luxury features.
Genesis has made it clear that all upcoming releases will be electric only starting 2025, while their entire lineup will become fully electric by 2030. They are also aspiring towards carbon neutrality across their operations by 2035 — taking steps towards reducing their carbon footprint while saving energy in the process.
