All NEW 2024 Porsche 911 Heritage Edition S/T - Premiere
Porsche celebrates the 60th anniversary of the iconic 911 with a special edition model, the 911 S/T, delivering maximum driving enjoyment through its purist design and lightweight construction. Limited to a production of 1,963 units, the 911 S/T inherits the high-revving engine from the 911 GT3 RS, but this time, the power is delivered through a manual gearbox and a lightweight clutch. This model unites the strengths of the 911 GT3 with Touring Package and the 911 GT3 RS and exhibits a unique combination of agility and driving dynamics, all while keeping a resolute lightweight construction and a running-gear setup optimized for agility and drivability.
The anniversary model, the 911 S/T, was designed by the engineers at Weissach with the focus on sheer driving enjoyment. It incorporates GT and motorsport expertise from Porsche, which is reflected in the nimble and agile handling, offering maximum driving enjoyment on winding country roads. The design reduces rotating mass in the engine as well as the wheels and brakes for dynamic responsiveness. The 911 S/T responds immediately to every steering movement and every ounce of pressure on the accelerator or brake, providing a unique experience for journeys on public roads.
The name, 911 S/T, harkens back to a performance-focused version of the first 911 generation. From 1969, Porsche offered a special race version of the 911 S, known internally as the 911 ST. The new 911 S/T continues the spirit of the original 911 S (ST), and it combines elements of the 911 GT3 RS with the body of the 911 GT3 with Touring Package. It adds lightweight components specially developed for the 911 S/T, resulting in a unique driving experience within the 911 GT portfolio.
The 911 S/T uses a consistent lightweight design, where the front bonnet, roof, front wings, and the doors are made of lightweight carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP). The same material is used in the roll cage, rear axle anti-roll bar, and shear panel (a stiffening element on the rear axle). The 911 S/T is also equipped with magnesium wheels, the PCCB system, a lithium-ion starter battery, and lightweight glass as standard, contributing to its DIN kerb weight of just 1,380 kg. Porsche engineers have developed a new lightweight clutch exclusively for the 911 S/T, which noticeably improves the responsiveness of the naturally aspirated boxer engine, resulting in a highly dynamic driving experience.
The 911 S/T is offered with an optional exclusive Heritage Design Package, emphasizing its historic roots. This package features a new exterior color, Shoreblue Metallic, and the wheel rim color Ceramica. The interior also features cloth seat centers in Classic Cognac with black pinstripes, paying homage to heritage. Customers of the 911 S/T are exclusively offered the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T by Porsche Design. This timepiece features a titanium case and operates with a rotor in the design of the magnesium wheel of the 911 S/T, aligning with the lightweight design principle of this special edition 911.
