NEW 2024 Skoda Kamiq - UPDATED interior & exterior, MATRIX Headlights
10The 2024 Škoda Kamiq comes as a comprehensive update of Škoda Auto’s compact city SUV model. With an extended range of assistance systems and optional TOP LED Matrix headlights, the Kamiq continues its commitment to safety. Its evo2 generation TSI engines are highly efficient, while the car’s design has been refined, featuring a more prominent Škoda grille and redesigned front and rear aprons. This latest Kamiq model is also notable for its sustainability, with a consistent use of recycled and natural materials.
The Kamiq model has been well received since its first appearance in 2019, having been delivered to customers in 60 markets worldwide. As an SUV, the Kamiq offers the advantages of raised seating and greater ground clearance, combining these features with the agility of a compact car. More than 351,000 units have been sold so far, making it the best-selling Škoda SUV in both 2021 and 2022.
The 2024 Škoda Kamiq has undergone significant design updates, including a larger, more upright grille and striking diffusers that lend a more rugged SUV appeal. The split headlights feature new proportions, with the upper lighting element slimmer and the lower one more substantial. It is the first time the Kamiq model has offered optional TOP LED Matrix headlights. The headlights are designed to evoke sparkling blocks of ice or gemstones, furthering the model’s premium appeal.
The new Kamiq is powered by TSI units from the highly efficient evo2 generation. These engines range from 70 kW (95 hp) to 110 kW (150 hp). The top engine, a 1.5 TSI, has ACT cylinder deactivation, which automatically switches off the two middle cylinders when not needed, reducing fuel consumption. The Kamiq also comes with optional suspensions for both rough roads and sporty driving.
The 2024 Kamiq has enhanced its level of active and passive safety, providing features like Front Assist with Pedestrian Monitor, Lane Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition as standard equipment. In case of an accident, up to nine airbags are available to protect the occupants, further demonstrating the model’s commitment to safety.
The 2024 Škoda Kamiq offers a restructured product range, with three trim levels and six interior variants. The optional Design Selections feature coordinated colors and materials inspired by modern living environments. A Digital Display with an 8-inch screen diagonal and an 8.25-inch Škoda Infotainment display come as standard. The Kamiq also offers new Simply Clever features, such as the Virtual Pedal for the optional electric tailgate.
A significant exterior update for the Kamiq is the larger and more upright grille and redesigned front and rear diffusers. These changes give the car a more powerful presence. The Kamiq also comes with new headlights, optional full LED Matrix technology, new wheels, nine paint finishes, and an optional contrasting black finish for the roof.
The interior of the 2024 Kamiq has been redesigned, with the use of recycled fabrics and natural materials like hemp and kenaf. The three new trim levels offer a total of six interior variants, while the optional Climatronic system has been given a more intuitive control panel. The restructured product range also offers optional equipment packages and several individual options, allowing customers to tailor their Kamiq to their needs and tastes.
The Kamiq also sees updates in infotainment and connectivity features. A standard eight-inch Digital Display is now offered, with a customizable 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit available as an option. The central touchscreen display now measures at least 8.25 inches on the diagonal and comes with a glazed front. Optionally, customers can get a 9.2-inch display if they order the navigation package. Four USB-C ports with an output of 45 watts are also available for fast charging of mobile devices or laptops.
