All Things 3D "3D in Review" for 3/11 - 3/17 " “Ghost in the TV”
Opening Video: Ghost in the Shell – Virtual Reality Diver
http://www.sign.site/koukaku_vr/en/
Opening Theme: Are we ready for Virtual TV?
Along with ability to play games and act out in VR, content to be viewed or as Mike calls it “passive vr” media is steadily becoming more mature as artist and filmmakers learn how to control the experience in new ways outside normal narrative development, to even garner an Oscar nomination and other awards normally given to traditional media.

Spelunking in the Tech Cave Closet with Mike:
- Thanks to the excellent Printwhisperer work, Mike is ready to reveal NEODiVR uPLAy Dreamtreader for the Pixel XL. A fully compatible Daydream viewer with better optics, heat dissipation, NFC tag/self-centering and even a “Rapid Start” mode that does not require you to remove the phone for the viewer once you have turned it off or in sleep mode.
- How to download 360/stereo 360 content in highest resolution from YouTube and view it on your Daydream or GearVR compatible phone for free (or few dollars if you feel guilty and want to donate).

The Printwhisperer:
Some parts of 3D printing can become a chore. Support removal can sometimes be fun, while other times it just feels unnecessarily hard. Material works great fresh out of the package but performance degrades as it uptakes moisture. Tip: Get a toaster oven with a “Warm” function!!!
Not only will this soften support material like PVA making difficult supports easier to remove, it also can dry material in 6-8 hours making it print again like new. The key is not too hot. Find a sweet spot and a toaster oven might just become your favorite new addition next to your printer.
